Additional documents re Jim Bell

As of mid-April 1998, Jim has been released and is on parole. The last word from him was that he was prohibited by the terms of his release from using computers without his parole officer's permission, but that he planned to ask for that permission as soon as possible.
Jim was rearrrested on June 22, 1998, on charges that he violated the terms of his supervised release.
The Federal Public Defender filed an appeal on his behalf; it's scheduled for oral argument in Portland on August 5, 1998. The appeal challenges the unusually restrictive conditions placed on Jim after his release from federal prison.
